Possible impossible

I have been reading this book called Godel, Escher, Bach and then I had a revelation. A Luke toovercome Luke, I suddenly have been envisaging what might have been and what should have been and what could have been and then I come to this conclusion that it is all not worth it !!!!

Any specific reason ? /Yeah actually there is....
